Role: Research and Strategy Intern 
Location: London (Hybrid – Wed–Fri in-office) 
Duration: 3 weeks (with the opportunity to extend an additional week)

Are you a current or former Laidlaw Scholar eager to deepen your impact, gain hands-on experience, and support mission-driven work? We are looking for a Research and Strategy Intern to join the Laidlaw Foundation team this summer for a short-term, high-impact opportunity. 

In this fast-paced role, you’ll support the Executive Team by driving meaningful research initiatives, analysing strategy and policy, and contributing to key organisational insights that shape our future work. 

🧠 What You’ll Do  

You’ll play a key role in our strategy and research function, with responsibilities including:  

• Conducting research on careers at Laidlaw partner universities  

• Creating a comprehensive directory of scholarships and funding available for Master’s and PhD programmes  

• Analysing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) commitments across FTSE 250 and Fortune 500 companies benchmarking these against leadership representation  

• Mapping out character and ethics codes across partner universities 

• Labelling and categorising Leadership in Action projects to support impact reporting  

• Researching the percentage of female Deans at the top 25 UK business schools

• Proficiency in Excel 

• Strong project management and organisational skills

📍 Location  

Hybrid role, based in Central London. You must be available to work from our office Wednesday to Friday each week during the internship period. 

Compensation  

You will be paid London Living Wage.
