Please note: Submissions for this competition are now closed.

As you embark on your research and leadership journeys this summer, we want to hear (and see!) all about it. That is why we are launching the "Laidlaw Summer Stories 2024" competition – a chance for you to get creative, share your experiences, and win some amazing prizes along the way.

Your Mission:

Document your Laidlaw summer through your own lens. We are most interested in YOUR personal journey, the challenges you overcome, the 'aha!' moments, and how the programme has transformed you as a leader, researcher, and global citizen. There are no limits on creativity or format:

  • Make a TikTok that captures the essence of your Laidlaw experience;
  • Craft a heartfelt poem that reflects on your personal growth and learnings;
  • Write an original song inspired by the people, places, or moments that defined your summer;
  • Share a series of photos that tell the story of your unique Laidlaw adventure;
  • ...or surprise us: we are open to any and all creative expressions of your Laidlaw journey!

The Prizes:

  • Grand Prize: £100 for the most engaging and impactful submission.
  • Category Prizes: £30 each for the following categories:
    • Most Creative
    • Most Humorous
    • Most Insightful
