I am doing a research project on Conveying emotions through visual means in films for Deaf and Hard of Hearing audiences. Modern screen entertainment has been relying heavily on sounds to tell stories and although many platforms now include subtitles and closed-captions, I think more can be done so that individuals with hearing loss can have a more immersive and emotional-engaging filmgoing experience.

Before writing the script and producing a short film, I think it is important to understand the needs and wants of my target audience. As such, I would like to invite you to participate in this online survey and spread the word. 

The survey aims to collect responses from individuals with hearing loss to understand the challenges they face when watching films and television, and what changes they would like to see in that area. The survey consists of 10 questions and will take about 10 minutes of the participant's time.
