Third-year student of Biological Sciences at Durham University and Laidlaw Research and Leadership Scholar. Academically, my specific interests are Ecology, Ethology and Conservation Biology. The aims of my research project are to collate data on African mammals that act as wildlife-based tourism (WBT) attractants and then utilise mathematical modelling processes to relate the distribution of these species to climate and habitat, predicting how much species might alter their ranges in the next 50-years in response to regional climate change. This research will provide an insight into the fundamental mechanisms of WBT, an essential source of income for many developing countries, and how changes in species distributions due to climate projections might affect WBT. When I am not studying, I really enjoy running, hiking and anything nature-related!
