Research Poster: Investigating Mobile Genetic Element (MGE) Induction Dynamics in CA-MRSA, USA300
Bacteria like MRSA carry hidden DNA elements- prophages & SaPIs, that can switch on under stress, spreading toxins & potentially, antimicrobial resistance. Using reporter systems, I compared how these genetic elements respond to DNA damage in a lab strain (RN4220) versus the clinical strain USA300.
