My project, Beyond Beauty: A Life Cycle Assessment of Sustainability in the Aesthetic Industry, applies life cycle assessment (LCA) and clinic-level environmental auditing to quantify the hidden carbon footprint of aesthetic practice. Presented as a research poster for the Laidlaw Research and Leadership Programme, this work lays the foundation for a standardised Aesthetic Environmental Performance Index (AEPI), positioning aesthetic medicine as a model for sustainable innovation within healthcare. I am so honoured to be sharing it with you all!

Hi, i'm a medical student from Imperial College London! My research project is on assessing the environmental footprint of aesthetic medical practice. As aesthetic procedures are becoming more accessible, I hope my work will help build the framework for the development of standardised auditing tools that will push for a more sustainable aesthetic industry.
