Kings of the Sea: What Oral Traditions From Ibrahim Hyderi Reveal about Karachi’s Coastal Past

Karachi’s history is often told through colonial development, overlooking older coastal communities. Using oral history and participatory mapping in Ibrahim Hyderi, this project reconstructs a community's memories of identity, migration and coastal geography to offer a different history of the city.
