Research Poster - Conditional knockout strategy to quantify dopamine transporter function in memory

The dopamine transporter (DAT) is a protein that returns secreted dopamine back into neurones and is the main target for psychostimulants such as cocaine and methamphetamine. Single-cell transcriptomics has shown unexpected DAT expression in Kenyon cells, which are crucial for learning and memory.
