Mussel Memory - project summary
This research aims to study how abiotic features impact the traits of invasive freshwater species. Invasive crayfish are an ecological and socioeconomic threat worldwide, making research on their interactions with the environment critical for managing populations.
Before doing some initial research, I did not realise how crucial this topic would be to ecosystems around the world, as well as the livelihoods of many communities. I am excited to have the chance to help improve our understanding of the invasive species that affect water bodies within Yorkshire specifically.
