Homelessness Poster - Axel Morgan
Here is my research poster. Criticism is welcome before I print it for the Laidlaw Conference in Dublin.
Hey! I am a current leadership & research scholar, focusing on homelessness and democracy. Before beginning my degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Durham University, I volunteered for homelessness organizations, working alongside public and private sector to tackle homelessness and health inequalities. Alongside this, I have worked in construction, and have maintained my interest via gardening at university, and my woodwork business KarhuKraft. I love all things sport (especially table tennis), nature, and history! Feel free to get in touch.

Love this!
We were asked to raise our hands if we liked living in a Democracy during a Political Science Lecture. I believe I was the only one who did not raise my hand, as I don't agree that we live in a true democracy, due to issues like homelessness. As you state "It is clear that homelessness doesn’t allow for development of democratic citizenship and is therefore in contradiction to the requirements of a democratic system"
Good Luck with the conference
Thanks for reading Rachel! I think that complacency in thinking that we are democratic is a real threat to the continued health of democracy so good on you for going against the grain!
