Hi, my name is Namir Khalil and I am medical student at University College London. I undertook 2 gap years prior to starting medical school where I worked as a Healthcare Assistant in the NHS and Private Sectors alongside pursuing a semi-professional rugby career. During my gap years I embedded myself in the healthcare field and experienced the good, bad and the ugly. I found myself more invigorated to pursue a career as a doctor to be able to treat patients for the rest of my working life and achieve heights in medicine to better every patient and family I come across. I aim to be a pioneer in my field and be an example to those who come after me and help be a positive impact on the world and in healthcare.
