Writer, Producer and Sound Designer, Dark Avenue Film Ltd

I am a practising screenwriter and film producer and graduated summer 2018. From there I moved to the Isle of Man to set up a production company with my partner, Patrick Crellin, where we now produce commercial films for local businesses as well as our own films. Our first short documentary, MERA, premieres at Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Brittany in August 2019 and we shoot a short drama, The Lost Wife, in September 2019. We have many scripts in development and one circulating festivals, competitions and industry, which placed in the quarterfinals of BlueCat Screenplay Competition 2019. For my Laidlaw project I took a creative practice approach, studying the depiction of rape recovery of a female protagonist in film, closely analysing Elle (2016) and Martha Marcy May Marlene (2009). This informed my own screenplay on the same theme. I am passionate about helping others to develop, especially those considering writing or the film industry as a career path.
