Hi, I'm Clara, an alumna from the Laidlaw Programme at the University of St Andrews! I'm a soon-to-be Arabic and Comparative Literature graduate, with a particular interest in issues of identity and representation in Arabic-speaking and French-speaking Africa. I have worked extensively on the literature of the Comoros Islands (Indian Ocean) during both my Laidlaw project and my undergraduate dissertation. Other areas of interest include: postcolonial and world literature, translation studies, cultural anthropology, as well as heritage and memory studies. I'm always happy to hear from people with similar research interests, so do not hesitate to reach out to me!
