The Ventral Amygdalofugal Pathway: A Novel Approach to Virtual Dissection

The Ventral Amygdalofugal Pathway is one of the primary output pathways of the amygdala. This poster represents my first summer of research where I, for the first time, virtually dissected this tract. In my second summer of research, I will be demonstrating the effects of depression on this pathway.

I was awarded the honour of 'Ireland's Undergraduate Medical Researcher of the Year' for this work at the Student Medical Summit 2020. This research was undertaken at the Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience.
