It feels a little wild to think that we're over 80% of the way done with our research summer. This week involved working on poster design. Personally, working on our poster felt a little premature because there were still areas of our report that were unfinished. At the same time, trying to present our report in poster format helped highlight those areas that needed more work. Our group has definitely looked at lots of different material, but we haven’t quite taken the time to synthesize everything. I think this week will involve taking a lot of time as a group to share the individual insights we’ve found and sharing.
We decided to shift focus more to understanding how non-attainment outcomes and evidence are conceptualized in policy. I think that provided a lot of clarity in the direction we wanted to pursue, which was very helpful.
Coming to the UK has made me realise that I'm quite weak to hot humidity. Dry heat is familiar and fine, but I struggle to handle the humidity with little air conditioning. I wasn’t feeling the best, and then we hit a particularly hot day and I struggled to adjust. I am trying to be more health conscious as I’ve come to realize how important taking care of my health is in being able to pursue the activities I’m interested in. There's a limit to how much you can push through if my physical capacity is simply lacking.
