As part of the second stage of my Laidlaw project, I am undertaking my LIA (Leadership In Action) as an intern at the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge e.V in Berlin (German War Graves Commission).
I am carrying out a research project to find biographical information concerning soldiers of the Commonwealth buried in the former occupation zone of Berlin in addition to trying to identify war victims (many of whom were civilians) who were buried in emergency graves in the final stages of WWII.
Below, I have attached the flyer for the project including some photos of the Berlin 1939-1945 Commonwealth War Grave Cemetery in Heerstraße, Berlin.
