Mexico City #4

Not Long Left

Having got a lot done the previous week, this week was quieter. Perhaps the knowledge and clarity that comes with clear goals makes you more comfortable moving at a slower pace. Or perhaps losing Wednesday and Thursday to honey tasting and a trip to Las Estacas, a water park, affected things. In any case, the work has moved forward with much still to go. Much of the work regarding seed funding and grant research (the financial side) is completed with only a little to do. The operations side is what is left which consists of a plethora of recommendations for how we believe Hagamos Composta can run smoother and begin to professionalise. This is centred on their internal and external comms, including the need to hold an annual general meeting exclusively about the business which is currently absent.

To add to the operations work, this past week we rolled out two surveys, one for the branches of the company and another for their customers, the latter being distributed via Hagagmos Composta's instagram which boasts a large following of 170K. Having received responses both have been valuable in gaining knowledge and the former survey helping us work towards a classification of the company's branches based on their needs, weather, size of operations; the goal of which being making it easier for branches to come together and solve shared problems. Right now the company is a loose web, we want to move it closer to being a lattice without losing the company's values and employee centred focus.
