We finished our final presentations on Tuesday and celebrated with lunch with amazing quesadillas, tacos, and horchata, sharing a relaxed, joyful moment with the Las Sabinas team. I’m leaving Mexico City in less than 40 hours, feeling grateful for their warmth and support and proud that our puppets and stage will be used next week in therapy sessions and workshops. Seeing the project take shape and create immediate impact makes all the long days and hard work worthwhile!! Here are pictures with them and our puppets!!
Tomorrow’s big picnic with Laidlaw students, partner organizations, and volunteers will feel like a gentle, joyful farewell and a chance to celebrate everything we accomplish. I'm excited to return home but comforted by the friendships and lessons I’m taking with me. That gathering will be a meaningful close to this chapter and a hopeful beginning for continued collaboration and future impact.
