LiA Project Summary - Reaction for Impact @CDMX

Program: reaction for impact initiative

Action theme: Educating public and advocating sustainable lifestyle

Partnering organization: Huerto Roma Verde

Objective of the collaboration:  Improving the visitor’s experience in a community centre that promote sustainable lifestyle]

Project outline:

Since our main objective is to enhance the visitor experience, we began by developing targeted visitor personas and mapping out our ideal customer journey. After establishing a clear vision, we proceeded with more practical research, such as interviewing actual visitors at Huerto Roma Verde and touring the area to gain firsthand insights. With a comprehensive understanding of the actual challenges and needs, we divided our project into three microprojects, each led by different team members. We also mobilized volunteers to help achieve our objectives. The three microprojects included: (1) Designing a detailed guided tour script to help visitors understand the purpose and layout of Huerto Roma Verde, (2) Designing and constructing 12 Graphic Information Boards for the “Self-Guided Tour” to enhance informational accessibility, and (3) Creating bilingual digital leaflets to enable visitors to actively explore and appreciate Huerto Roma Verde.

Action items:

  • Designing the script from beginning to end
  • Brainstorm interactive elements and the emotional curve of audiences
  • Translate the completed script into English and Spanish
  • Deliver the script during scholars visit of the organisation and official showcase

(2) Information Boards

  • Printing of the boards
  • Constructing the wooden structures
  • Ideate on the strategic placement of the boards

Outcome:

We organized an engaging showcase, welcoming two distinct groups of visitors for guided tours in both English and Spanish, meticulously conducted by our dedicated team and well-trained volunteers. The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, with participants praising both the quality and the informative content of the tours, a testament to the meticulous planning and execution by our team.
