Today concludes my second week in CDMX working with Hagamos Composta. Despite being ill for the past week, we are making nice progress working on the big two deliverables we need ready by the end of the project: a resource guide for funding opportunities and a map of strategic priorities to support coherent growth.
Meeting the CEO, the directors of operation, of education and of finance administration gave us a clearer overview of the bottlenecks within the organisation. My time is mostly spent researching charity statuses for HC, as they would allow easier access to federal/international grants or tax deductible donations. We have also met the volunteers, who were very enthusiastic and to whom we hope to give some freedom of movement in order for them to also conduct semi-independent tasks.
We are overall satisfied with the progress we made so far, and can't wait to see where this will go from now on !
