What is the Leadership in Action Virtual Fair?
Planning your Leadership in Action (LiA) project for summer 2027? Whether you're interested in joining one of the Laidlaw Foundation's Central LiA projects or exploring an independent LiA, our Virtual Fair is a great place to start!
The fair is an opportunity to meet representatives from our Central LiA partner organisations and hear directly from Laidlaw Scholars who have completed independent projects. They'll share insights into their organisations, the projects available, and the skills and qualities they're looking for in Scholars.
It's your chance to explore different opportunities, ask questions, and get some inspiration for your own LiA journey.
How Does It Work?
The fair will feature:

Interactive breakout rooms: Each participating organisation or Scholar LiA Champion will host a breakout room where you can drop in, learn more about their projects, and ask questions.

Project booklet: You'll receive a booklet ahead of the fair with information about all the projects being showcased, so you can explore your options and decide which rooms you'd like to visit.
Who Should Attend?
The fair is designed for Laidlaw Scholars who:

Are preparing for their LiA in summer 2027.

Want to explore Central LiA opportunities or find inspiration for an independent project.

Would like to hear from Scholars who have already completed their LiAs and learn from their experiences.
When and Where?
We're offering two sessions on Wednesday 18 November 2026 to accommodate Scholars across different time zones:

Session 1: 1:00–2:00 PM GMT / 8:00–9:00 AM EST

Session 2: 5:00–6:00 PM GMT / 12:00–1:00 PM EST
Both sessions will take place online via Zoom. Registered attendees will receive a link to join.
Can't make either session? You can still register to receive the project booklet and explore the opportunities in your own time! Simply select either session on Eventbrite and choose the 'Booklet Only' ticket.
