Week 5
July 17th - 23rd
This was the last week of my service at the centre. There are still several operational tasks to do, but I managed to find some time to compile my teaching materials into reusable resources. I numbered files under each topic and wrote detailed explanation about intentions and usage of materials. I also collected some early-education books that I found useful for future extensions. The final resource folder was highly remarked by stuff at the centre. Such compilation process should be kept as a tradition for my other projects.
Another field trip to the Hong Kong Palace Museum was also organised during the week. I did some research on the exhibitions in advance and was able to introduce some collaborations to kids during the visit. All of us have learnt a lot.
Concluding my five-week project, I have indeed learnt a lot on interpersonal and leadership abilities and skills, especially on how to communicate with people from a totally differently cultural background. Teaching is indeed a wondrous activity that always offer me something new whenever I practice it.
