Funded Travel Opportunity: Sustainable Tech

Fully-funded 2 week trip in January to Hong and China for university students studying in the UK and US

Hi! My name is Alanna, a 2024 Laidlaw Scholars Alum. I recently started working for the company that hosts the biggest Sustainability event in Hong Kong annually (https://www.oneearthsummit.org/).

One Earth is incredibly connected. Some of our speakers at our recent event included the Princess of Belgium and the Former Director-General of UNESCO (first woman to hold this position). We are also connected with major foundations, Rockefeller Foundation, Temasek Foundation, and the major tech companies like Alibaba, Tencent, XPENG, BYD and more.

We are offering students the opportunity to utilize our connections and experience a study-trip to China to learn about sustainability and tech, and implement their learnings on a cross-cultural collaborative project with Tsinghua University.

We'll be visiting Hong Kong, ShenZhen, Guanzhou, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing!

Dates: January 2 - 14, 2027

Eligibility Criteria: Current full-time student of a university in the UK or US

Apply before November 16 (Click here to be directed to our application form)
