The Laidlaw Foundation is delighted to announce an exclusive celebration of International Women’s Day at HEC House (UK) on March 5th, followed by a dinner reception. Whilst this event is mainly targeted towards our Women in Business scholars and Trailblazers, we are also excited to invite 10 female-identifying Undergraduate Scholars from UK universities to join us. This event is a precursor to the much-anticipated EQUALL Conference at the London Business School (LBS) taking place on March 6th.
The day will feature a series of engaging workshops at HEC house. These sessions are designed to provide valuable insights into personal and professional development, networking, and leadership skills.
March 5th Workshop Highlights:
- A custom workshop on leadership and creativity by the Professors Anne-Valérie Corboz and Delphine Mourot, authors of Take the Lead. All attendees will receive a signed copy of the book by the authors!
- A choice of tailored options including mentoring and coaching opportunities and a workshop exploring circles of reciprocity.
- Networking and the opportunity to collaborate and connect with peers
March 5th Evening Reception:
The day's events will culminate in a delightful dinner reception on the evening of March 5th. This gathering is not just a celebration but also an opportunity for scholars to connect with each other and a prelude to the upcoming EQUALL Conference at LBS. We are also excited to welcome a special keynote speaker.
March 6th EQUALL Conference:
Don't miss out on this year’s iconic EQUALL Conference at LBS. This year's theme is “Lift as You Lead: Empowering Others Through Authentic Leadership.” The EQUALL Conference unites current and aspiring leaders dedicated to building a world in which women are empowered, equipped, and able to have influence in every arena of their lives. EQUALL 2025 aims to be a platform to contribute to lasting change in the field of gender equity.
Paying homage to this year’s International Women’s Day theme of #AccelerateAction and the UN’s focus on #InvestInWomen, the day will focus on fostering meaningful discussions about how we can uplift others as we advance in our careers. We’ll explore intersectional challenges, celebrate innovators making impactful change, and offer practical workshops to equip participants with skills such as negotiation. A highlight of the conference will be the opportunity to hear from keynote speaker Baroness Dambisa Moyo, a member of the United Kingdom’s House of Lords and Principal of Versaca Investments. In addition, the conference will provide intimate networking opportunities throughout the day.
