For my Laidlaw research summer, I conducted research on China's impacts on Iraq's gas and oil sectors. The poster above summarizes my findings. This research demonstrated the immense impacts of a strong economy's role in shaping the concentration of a developing country's import and export composition. Iraq's oil dependence brought about by China's increased resource-centered involvment has proved bleak long-term prospects of economic growth for Iraq.

I would love to hear any additional insights or comments. I thank my mentor, Dr. Mogielnicki, for his guidance throughout this research.
